Sean Bowen - Chief Executive Officer and Exectutive Director

As co-founder of Push Technology Sean has created a company that is exciting, innovative and driven. Passionate about business and technology, Sean has sought to stretch both in new directions, helping businesses realise the full potential of the internet and in the process building a company that can literally take any data and "just push it" across internal systems and out across the internet, to any end user device.

After leaving the Royal Air Force 17 years ago Sean worked in the highly technological and latency-driven financial services market, gaining experience at some of the world's biggest financial firms including: Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, ABN Amro and Rabobank. Sean's experiences within the financial services market have given him a unique view from both a technical and commercial perspective, which he has leveraged to the full in making Push Technology one of the most exciting Internet technology companies in the market today.

Tim Valmas - Chief Operating Officer

In his role at Push Technology, Tim is responsible for building and managing a world-class delivery team and the support infrastructure, to deliver and maintain Push Technology's global growth aspirations, at pace and at scale.

Tim believes that, as a leading and innovative software company, Push Technology has already invested in and developed game-changing technology.

As COO Tim is focused on adding operational robustness to the business by enhancing and building on this technical excellence with new services and products, ensuring that the right delivery model, tools, skills, structures and processes are in place to operationally support a global client centric organisation.

Tim brings over 16 years in the Financial Services Industry to Push Technology, with an extensive knowledge of business, products, technology and systems integration. This is augmented by his in-depth knowledge of project and operational risk management, front, middle and back office systems, processes, controls and regulation.

Having begun his career at Goldman Sachs, Tim has gone on to work in Investment Banking and Asset Management markets, with organisations such as Deutsche Bank AG and Evolution Securities, as well as a number of advisory assignments for Financial Services organisations.

Grant Wallace - Head of Engineering

Grant recently joined Push Technology to lead the team in the development and delivery of the solutions and services and the underlying technology that supports them. As a strategic thinker, with a structured approach to development encompassing business case, partner assessment and go-to-market recommendations, Grant brings with him over 20 years experience in the ICT industry covering all aspects of the project lifecycle, product management and proposition development.

Grant was the Chief Technology Officer of a start-up company that successfully transitioned a patent into a platform and a range of products that received a number of industry awards en-route. He has a strong technical background having designed and delivered a number of distributed systems in the retail sector for Sainsbury's and Dixons, as well as having led projects for Vodafone in the telecommunication sector including Service Delivery Platforms, Global gateways and presentation rendering engines. In his role at Vodafone, he also successfully defined the strategy and requirements for a new "Future Business Device'.

Grant believes that Push Technology's innovative and exciting technology will be at the edge of the Internet; providing real-time entry points for current internet based services, as well as, new "Big-Data" and "Cloud" offerings. His role will be essential in ensuring that the great ideas and enthusiasm for the technology will continue to deliver significant benefits to our customers.

Grant is sport mad and loves to travel - and is currently not far off the 100 country club!

Andrew Bucknell - Chief Financial Officer

Andrew plays a pivotal role in the development and growth of Push Technology, focusing particularly on Financial Management, and providing direction and recommendations to the Board, as well as taking responsibility for HR. His wealth of experience in managing and growing technology businesses, financial management and growth through acquisition make him ideally placed to bring new thought and the right discipline to this growing and dynamic company.

As a Chartered Accountant and fellow of the ICAEW, he has run and managed divisions such as Corporate Special Services for Deloittes and organisations such as Panasonic Industrial Europe Limited; and as Finance and HR director at ACAL Technology grew their Storage Area Networks division to be a market leader in just 4 years from a standing start. Andrew's work has taken him to places as diverse as Holland, Eire, Japan and the Bahamas, so is no stranger to the international requirements of businesses and their customers.

Always someone who believes in the importance of rules, Andrew has taken this to another level, by becoming an FA qualified football referee!

Colin Magee - Vice President of Sales

Colin is responsible for driving and delivering the growth strategy for Push Technology, and has a pivotal role in the development of the Business with existing and new clients, as well as establishing and managing the critical relationships with key Partners.

Having over 20 years' senior-level sales leadership experience, Colin brings a fresh and insightful approach to managing and developing strong relationships with customers. His experience in business, in technology and in commercial management, driving companies to achieve significant growth is testament to his determination to go the extra mile to deliver the best and be the best. As a forward looking, knowledgeable and driven individual Colin believes that Push Technology represents a marked step change in the industry, and with his proven track record of building successful software sales teams and increasing revenues in dynamic and fast-growing organisations across the UK, Europe and the US, he is ideally placed to build the Push Technology business.

Prior to joining Push Technology, Colin was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Revolution Analytics and before that spent six years with Insightful Corporation, now Tibco-Spotfire, where as Vice President Europe he managed and grew both sales and field operations.

Darach Ennis - Head of Innovation and R&D

Darach joined Push Technology in October 2011 and in his role brings a deep knowledge and experience of low latency and high volume scalable distributed event processing to Push Technology and to our clients. Darach is excited by technology, and the possibilities inherent in it, and his curiosity and creativity plays a big part in his role as Head of Innovation and R&D, developing and enabling the systems that make Push Technology the remarkable company that it is.

Darach has a wealth of experience and expertise from his background working as Principal Consultant, Systems Engineer & Global Solutions Architect with companies such as Betfair, IONA, JP Morgan Chase and StreamBase. Darach regularly speaks at conferences and events on Big Data and CEP, and is a regular contributor to Big Data and CEP groups on LinkedIn. He has designed and implemented algorithmic trading platforms, flow trading systems, smart order routing systems, online spread betting, sports and gaming systems, as well as championing hardware accelerated messaging and compute acceleration in CEP.

Darach is currently interested in enabling the internet of things in the context of real time conversational and high touch experiences, and migrating the telemetry normally associated with sensor networks to targeted experiences on the web and mobile.

Board of Directors

Peter Gilchrist, CB - Chairman and Non-Executive Director

As Chairman Peter has been an influential, inspiring and steady voice in ensuring the continued growth of the company since he took up the position in March 2009, following Synergie Business Ltd's investment in Push Technology. Peter leverages his experience of managing and delivering in complex environments to great effect within Push Technology, and his far-sighted, inspiring and structured approach continues to be an asset in driving the business forward.

Peter was the first Technical Director of the Defence Procurement Agency, and retired from the Army in 2009 as a Major General having spent his last tour as Head of the British Defence Staff in the United States. He had a total of over 8 years involved in defence procurement, and in his role as Executive Director on the Defence Procurement Agency Board he was responsible for driving high performance in highly complex, high value, tri service programmes.

Peter holds other non-executive Chairman roles, is a non-Executive Director of Ricardo Plc and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Tank Museum. He was appointed a Companion of the Bath in 2004.

Rob Wirszycz - Non-Executive Director

While acting as non-executive director, Rob prefers to see himself as a cheerleader, exhorting the team to extend their reach into new markets and customers and to get the world to know about this great business which, he believes, has near-universal appeal.

Outside of Push Technology, Rob operates plurally as a Chairman, Director, and business advisor for a number of big and smaller software, IT services, communications, government, media, and online businesses. His experience ranges from outsourcing, managed services, telecoms, software, social media, games, and security.

In the past, he has worked as Marketing & Strategy Director for EDS; Director General of what is now Intellect, the UK IT Industry Trade Association; and Chief Executive of a number of start-up and established ventures in the UK IT industry. Before this, he spent 10 years working in Kenya, Hong Kong and Japan. He has an MBA, is a Certified IT Professional, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
