Web Sockets
Push Technology is pleased to announce full support for Web Sockets within the web client library of the latest release (2.2.6) of its Diffusion product suite. Whilst Web Sockets has yet to gain real traction, with support limited to browsers fully supporting HTML 5, this enhancement future proofs our customers and ensures their own customers get the best possible experience.
Diffusion's innovative client libraries have a number of different transports layers at their disposal, ensuring that regardless of your customer's IT environment they will always connect. On connecting Diffusion will select the optimal transport layer for the device (mobile, TV, browser etc.), given its own independent support for the different transport layers, and the hardware (proxy servers, firewalls etc.) the connection request must traverse to reach Diffusion.
