Performance Increase

Push Technology is pleased to announce a substantial increase in the performance of its Diffusion product suite. Benchmark tests of its latest release, 2.2.6, have seen a single message broker processing over 100,000 messages per second.

The same set of benchmark test also identified the ability of a web browser based application to receive and process more than 1,200 messages per second over a normal ‘retail consumer’ broadband connection (less than 2 mega bytes per second). To put this figure in context of a ‘real-life’ scenario, this is the equivalent of an online FX trading platform displaying 32 updates per second for twenty different instruments/currency pairs at one time.
