JOB PURPOSE

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a technologist who works as a part of the product management team reporting to the Chief Product Officer. The TPM will work with a cross-functional team to ensure that the products that we bring to market are successful in a wide variety of customer engagements, be a technical expert, and have the ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiators of our products.

The TPM must be a technical expert. The TPM will work with our customers, sales/pre-sales, marketing and engineering teams to build and manage the vision and technical roadmap for Diffusion. The TPM must be a self-starter, with a willingness to execute independently, and help cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • - Influence product strategy, vision and product roadmap.
  • - Consistent interaction with users and customers to channel requirements and feedback into the product roadmap.
  • - Perform market/competitive analysis to take informed decisions.
  • - Create specifications for features and manage feature prioritization following Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • - Collaborate with engineers, UX designers and other stakeholders
  • - Active participation in GTM activities. Some examples include developing thought leadership content (videos, white papers, tutorials etc.), deliver webinars, manage developer community and product demonstration.
  • - Build and maintain a demonstration environment for Diffusion®.
  • - Support product launch activities and assist with Tradeshows, Conferences and Technical Sales Training or Channel Partner Training activities.
  • - Respond to customer or field inquiries, assist with Technical RFPs and work with a cross-functional team of PMs, SEs, Engineers as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills


  • 5+ years of experience with messaging or data platforms, event brokers, event-driven architectures, microservices or the broader enterprise software solutions.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
  • Software development or scripting capabilities required.
  • A BS (engineering or business management is preferred)
  • Team player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environments.
  • Natural leadership skills and the ability to work with all teams in the company.

Nice to Haves

In addition to the above it would be advantageous for candidates to have some knowledge of the following:

  • Prior experience as a TPM, Software Developer or Sales Engineer is preferred.
  • Engaging with developers on Developer community portals..
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Software Solutions for a specific Industry Vertical.
